02 Your dream teams

READY WHEN YOU ARE

Add your people, and we’ll mix things up.

Everyone’s invited.

Your teams will appear here.
One less thing for the host to figure out.

LESS ORGANIZING. MORE DOING.

From “who’s with who?” to let’s go.

1 /

Bring your people.

Paste a list, one person per line. Keep full names together. Repeated names count as separate people.

2 /

Find your mix.

Choose 2–20 teams. Everyone gets a place, and team sizes differ by at most one. Skill levels aren’t used.

3 /

Break the ice.

Use an optional warm-up question. Copy your teams into a chat, or print cards for the table.

A few good questions.

Is the team generator free?

Yes. This tool is free to use, with no signup or payment details required.

Do you upload or remember the names?

No. Names and results stay in this page’s memory. We don’t store them in cookies, local storage, or links. Clear the form or close the page when you’re done. Copying or printing shares the results wherever you choose.

Can I use it for a workshop or game night?

Yes. Try nicknames for an informal group or participant numbers for a large workshop. It makes groups balanced by size; it doesn’t assess ability or enforce who should stay together.

How are teams randomized?

Your browser supplies random values, which we use to shuffle the list before dealing people into teams. A new mix may sometimes match a previous one.

What if two people have the same name?

Each line is a person. Both entries are kept. Add an initial or a nickname if you want to tell them apart.
